I added a new email account to my iPad. I've been unable to reply to messages received on that account. I get a pop-up that says the server doesn't recognize the address. So I tried composing a test message to a personal email address that isn't on the iPad. The screen is now frozen with the draft message on it. I can't cancel it, I can't send it and I can't get back to the in-box.

If I can't correct this my iPad is useless for email.

Force restart the iPad by holding the Sleep and Menu buttons until you see the Apple logo, then try again, let me know

Okay, but I'm a dummy, on an iPad 1 where do I find the sleep and menu buttons.

Menu is the big button at the bottom on the front and the sleep button is on the top side
