did the ipod asked you to wait a certain time until you can try and put in the passcode again?
it did a few times 15 minutes
then it counted down
we've been working on it for a few hours
dont do anything and wait until the countdown end
after that you can put in your passcode again
i dont' know the passcode
my son changed it
did you sycn your ipod in itunes before this happen?
did you back up the data with itunes?
it also, speaks to me now, which it never did
it hasn't been backed up for a while, now
bad news is all the data before you the last time you back will be gone
because the only way now is to restore it
like mentioend it also, now talks to us
which erase and format your ipod
yes, i understand that
let me show you how to restore it
but if I press the lowwer button, i can speak into the voice and tell it to play music but can't still get passed the passcode
so there is stil music on the ipod
thats just an options voice control in the ipod software
is like a shortcut
i know but the music is still on it
which ipod do you have, regular ipod classic or ipod touch?
how do i get pass the new passcode, i
ve tried to get my sone to tell me but he doesn't know what he did
there no way to get a new passcode
or reset it
the only way to restore it
because apple product are very secure
I wish you could see it in person
i have an ipod touch at home too
so i know what you talking about
i been dealing with this problem a lot
so if there another way around it
i wouldnt asked you to do a restore
so is there away that i can get pass the passcode....have you heard it change over to speaking to you?
like if you touch the battery itwill now tell me 80%
that is the accesibility voice command
that come with apple ipod os
here is the restore steps
1.Attach the ipod to the pc2.Turn the ipod off3.Press and hold power. Keep holding power. As soon as you see display on the screen of any sort press and hold home.Hold power and home together for *exactly* 10 seconds4.Release power but keep holding home until the pc beeps as a USB device is recognized.5.At no point will the display come on. Now your restore should work.
how can i get pass the passcode?
after you enter the DFU mode
just open your itunes
it will asked if you want to restore
just click yes
i had already tried that
and itunes will do the rest for you
then when it looked liek it was finished after 30 minutes it asked me to back up I said yes then it said that I need to press in the passcode
when I tried it said that i couldn't finish tasks (or something like that)
because the passcode was wrong
check my step again
is not the same as the one you did
because if it the same
then it wont asked you for passcode
read my steps again
i'm on a different computer so cant do while we are chatting
check out this website, this is how your son accidentally activate voice command mode
welcome to try at anytime you wanted
so this will definietly work?
what if it doesn't
give me an update
and i will find something else for you
you dont have to click accept now, only accept when i method workout for you
okay thanks somuch i will give it a try now
if it workout for you, please come back here and click accept, so i get paid for my services.
have a safe and wonderful holiday
same to you
when i did those steps
the computer came up with:
Itunes has detected an Opod in recover modeYou must restore this Ipod before it can be used by itunesWith the OK button present
should i press okay?
itunes will go through the whole process of restore, after that, your ipod will be back in working order
thank you so much! It worked & my ipod has been restored/backedup/is working now!!! Happy New Year to you!
