Welcome to JustAnswer!

Try this first:

-Detach the USB cable from your iPad

-Press and hold the Home AND the Wake/Sleep buttons until the Apple Logo appears (about 15 seconds). Be patient as your iPad is restarting. This can take several minutes.

  • The On/Off, Sleep/Wake button: This button is on the top of your iPad, and you use it to put your iPad's screen to sleep or wake it up.
  • Home button: It's on the front of the iPad (large round button near the bottom).

What do you see on the iPad screen now?

It did not solve problem!

Customer: replied 5 years ago.

I see the page you are on. I did the whole wake up until apple icon was seen; all the while my battery life is going down.

You don't need to keep re listing this. It only defers your Answer.

Do this: with your iPad plugged into the WALL OUTLET charger with the Apple Supplied USB cable (you may also try another 30 pin USB cable if this is still not effective):

-Press and hold the Home AND the Wake/Sleep buttons until the Apple Logo appears (about 15 seconds). Be patient as your iPad is restarting. This can take several minutes.

  • The On/Off, Sleep/Wake button: This button is on the top of your iPad, and you use it to put your iPad's screen to sleep or wake it up.
  • Home button: It's on the front of the iPad (large round button near the bottom).

The next step is to do a restore.

Make sure you backup your iPad before you begin the process.

Also, make sure your iTunes version is 10.5.2 before commencing the process.
