Hi, and thanks for using JustAnswer.

Add this page to your Favorites/Bookmarks first, so as to get back to me anytime later on, if needed.

iOS 5 is delivered through iTunes 10.5

Here's the link to download iTunes 10.5.
(make sure you download the Windows version)

After you have it installed, plug in your iOS device with the USB cable and open iTunes. iTunes should recognize the need to update your iOS device and offer you to upgrade.

What version iTunes do you have installed?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

How do I confirm that? I thought I already had it but i do not have edit features for photo transfer and storage...

Expert:  Mac Tech replied 4 years ago.
Open iTunes and click on "iTunes" in the Menu Bar and select "About iTunes"

The version should be apparent (watch the background scrolling for details).

Hi Rick. I have confirmed that iTunes is on my laptop, and I understand the iOS 5 is imbedded in it. I have synched the iPad with laptop several times and the version that is on the iPad is 4.4.5 and cannot figure out how to get this to sync.
Expert:  Mac Tech replied 4 years ago.
IT's not a Sync. It's an iOS update.

Open iTunes and connect your iPad to your computer.

On the left, in iTunes you will see "Devices"

Click on your iPad, directly to the right you will see "Version"

It should show that a newer version is available. Go ahead and click update.

It will download iOS 5 and install it and prompt you to install.

Do the same for your iPod.
