First unplug the TV and the Apple TV for thirty seconds, then reconnect them.

If it fails reset your Apple TV with the remote. Point it at the Apple TV and press the menu and down buttons together until you see the Apple TV LED blinking rapidly.

If this fails please reply and I will help you.

I have tried this and it did not work

There might be a problem with the scan settings on the TV, or a problem with a HDMI hub if you are using one...
Do you have another TV you can try it with?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.

Can you connect by micro USB and restore in iTunes:

1. Disconnect the power and HDMI cables from Apple TV.
Note: If you do not disconnect the power cable before connecting the micro USB cable, you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list.

2. Connect one end of a micro USB cable to the back of your Apple TV, and the other end to one of your computer's USB ports.

3. Open iTunes on your computer.

4. Select your Apple TV in the Source list, and then click Restore.

Best regards,
