Hi I have just upgraded Aperture 3.21 and it crashes every time i open it . MBP intel core duo. help!!!!!!!!

We can Repair and Rebuild your Aperture Library and see if that works or not..

Press and hold the Option and Command keys as you start Aperture. The Aperture Library First Aid dialog will appear and offer the following three troubleshooting options:

First Repair the Permission, then Repair the Database and then Rebuild the Database. Let me know if that didn't worked...Only click Accept after it worked.

We can reset the Aperture's preferences and see if that works or not..


  1. In the Finder go to Macintosh HD/Users/ your user name/Library/Preferences folder
  2. Remove the "com.apple.Aperture.plist" file from the Preferences folder.

Then delete the Aperture presets created by users
  1. In the Finder, go to Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Aperture folder.
  2. Move the contents of this folder to your Desktop

Restart Aperture. Does that worked ? Only click Accept after it worked.
