My I phone (3) approx 18 months old has gone completly dead for no apparant reason, battery was well charged, phone has not been droped or near any fluids, Any suggestions please

Try this:

Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for about ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Hi Only buttons on the I phone model are, power, volume and silent?
