OSXpert :

Hi, my name is Britton. Are you available?

Customer:

yes

OSXpert :

great...

OSXpert :

can you explain your situation in more detail for me please?

Customer:

I send photos to my email account. Then download to hard drive.

Customer:

Yahoo has changed now photo opens Can not find a way to download

OSXpert :

I see, are the images embedded in the emails now? Instead of an attached file, is the image embedded in the actual email itself?

Customer:

yes will not have any text

OSXpert :

and are you using a Mac?

OSXpert :

Also, which browser are you using?

Customer:

yes I use Mac and Firefox

OSXpert :

okay great, try this:

- Hold the control key and click one of the images

OSXpert :

- Select "Save Image As

OSXpert :

then you can save the image to your computer

Customer:

So I open the email and photo opens -- select the open photo

OSXpert :

what do you mean "photo opens"?

Customer:

when I open the email the photo opens

OSXpert :

yes, the photo should actually be inside of the email, correct?

Customer:

the photo is not an attachment as it should be but is the email it self

OSXpert :

yes, do this exactly:

OSXpert :

- Hold the control key and click one of the images with the mouse

- Select "Save Image As from the dialog that appears

Customer:

With the old Yahoo I would send photos by email and they would be attachments

OSXpert :

yes, do this exactly:

7:16 PM

- Hold the control key and click one of the images with the mouse

- Select "Save Image As from the dialog that appears

OSXpert :

Are you sill with me?

Customer:

sorry I am still here Tried control key and click the image and I did get the dialog box

OSXpert :

are you holding the control key while clicking the image?

OSXpert :

don't just tap the control, you need to hold it down while you click

Customer:

yes that works

OSXpert :

okay, and click "Save Image As"

Customer:

yes that works

OSXpert :

excellent, save the image to a folder when the dialog appears, just like you would an attachment

Customer:

Hi --- I tried selecting image and saving to folder -- Then open that file and there was not an image there.

I am sending a jpeg to my email without any text just the jpeg. The jpeg opens like it is embedded and there is not an attachment to download.

When you open the folder (where you saved the image), do you see the file there? Or is the file missing all together?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
missing the file all together. White page icon. ColoSync utility does read this file.
