What is the model of the headset that does not work ?
Firstly you can try this .
Plug in the headset to the USB port of the Mac , Go to the Apple menu , System preferences , Sound preference pane , and select Logitech USB Headset etc input and output tabs as required.
once completed , close the panel .
Then launch your application and test the headset .
