Ipod Specialist :

Hi

Ipod Specialist :

I am Vinod. I will try my best to help you resolve this issue.

Ipod Specialist :

Did you mean the phone screen is dark? I am not sure whether you have tried the reset procedure.

Ipod Specialist :

If not, press and hold the power button and the home button (button below the screen) together for 10-15 sec. You might get an apple logo

JACUSTOMER-xgww3hae- :

Does not work

Ipod Specialist :

Is the screen entirely dark or does it show up something?

JACUSTOMER-xgww3hae- :

it is dark ahd u faingtly make out an image of the buttons

Ipod Specialist :

may be the settings changed somehow. To make sure, let's connect the phone to the computer and try the reset again.

Ipod Specialist :

press and hold the power button and home button together until you see an apple logo

JACUSTOMER-xgww3hae- :

already tied the same

Ipod Specialist :

ok

Ipod Specialist :

is your iphone showing up in itunes?

JACUSTOMER-xgww3hae- :

yes and I have tried rewstore

Ipod Specialist :

After restore, you will have two options - "restore from backup" and "set up as a new phone". which one did you select?

JACUSTOMER-xgww3hae- :

tried booth

JACUSTOMER-xgww3hae- :

tried both

Ipod Specialist :

If you have tried the restore and if the screen is still dark, the phone needs a repair/replacement

JACUSTOMER-xgww3hae- :

Why are so many phones failing at the same time? No solution from Apple

Ipod Specialist :

What does that mean? Did you mean you have more and one phone with the same issue?

JACUSTOMER-xgww3hae- :

only 3gs have two one bad one not

Ipod Specialist :

If your phone is under warranty, you will get a free replacement, provided it has no water/physical damage. You can either take it to an apple store after making an appointment or call apple care 1-800-2752273, 8AM to 8PM CST
