How do I download a rented movie to my iPad from IMac

Hello. Welcome to JustAnswer, a paid global support site.

Rented movie as in a DVD from Blockbuster, for example?
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
From iTunes, not viewed but just downloaded.
Expert:  Mr. Clark replied 5 years ago.
Unfortunately, you can only transfer from a PC/Mac to a mobile device (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad). Apple does not permit transfer from a mobile device to a PC/Mac.

In summary, it's not legally possible.

If the Movie appears in the Movies/Videos section of iTunes, connect your iPad to your Mac.

If a sync starts, cancel the sync.

Click on the iPad icon in the left column of iTunes and then go to the Movies/Videos tab. Check the Sync Movies/Videos box and then select All Movies. From there click the Apply button in the lower right corner and then Sync.

The movie will likely be removed from your iTunes library but will be on the iPad.

I wish there was a "Sync Movies /videos box" to click on if it is there it is hidden.
I have to leave in a couple of minutes for the airport but will check additional answers from there.

No problem.

Do you have the latest version of iTunes (which should be 10+)? Go to http://www.itunes.com to be sure that you do.

The tab should look like this:
