Customer Question

I just got a new iphone, and it works great, but when I try to open itunes on my Dell PC, I get this message: " This application failed to start because QTCF.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem."
When I try to download itunes again, I get this message:
"Error occurred during installation of assembly Microsoft .V80.CRT, version="8.0.507274053", type= "win32, publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9ale183b", process or Architecture="x86".p

Hi

Ipod Specialist :

I am Vinod. I will try my best to help you resolve this issue.

Ipod Specialist :

A complete uninstall and reinstall of itunes and its components may resolve this issue. Let's use this doc to completely remove itunes and the other components. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
After that, restart the computer and install itunes from www.apple.com/itunes/download

JACUSTOMER-071doho2- :

I completely uninstalled itunes and all its various components according to the document above, and I got that same message when I tried to install itunes again.

Ipod Specialist :

It seems to be a strange issue. Let's download the free trial version of the revo uninstaller from http://www.revouninstaller.com/
After downloading and installing it, use it to uninstall itunes, quicktime, apple software update, apple mobile device support and apple application support. Then restart the computer and install itunes from www.apple.com/itunes/download
