I have fitted new hard drive to macbook. I have used utility

Customer Question

I have fitted new hard drive to macbook. I have used utility and partitioned the disc, verified GUID and erased (formatted) the new disc. The install OS disc is x10.5
I reboot holding C key down
I select English for language - I then receive message @mac OS x cannot be installed on this computer. See Read before install doc on the install disc. I cannot access this doc to verify what it says.

Have you any ideas as to where I'm going wrong.
