I have a Macbook Pro with Snow Leopard and Intel chip. My Hardrive

Customer Question

I have a Macbook Pro with Snow Leopard and Intel chip. My Hardrive is 350GB. I just installed an external Western Digital My Passport Essesential SE Portal Hardrive 1 TB to back up my whole computer. I'm not used to an Apple but I can't find this hard drive anywhere. I also installed the software that WD gives you to back up mac. I looked in System preferences and nothing. When I try to use time machine it asked for place to back up files and I still can't drive. Please help

I found it but it only shows OS X drive

That indicates your Mac can't recognize your HD. Do you have another USB Cable ?
