I'm sure your answer seems to make sense, but I can't seem to make
it work.
Again, the program is "e Book Pro". I got the same results as your
collgeague's answer. Since this answer is costing me the same as the last one
may I ask: are you just guessing or did you try to open an eBook Pro
program on a Mac with the 'ereader' software? If you were successful
I need to know how you did it since I could not get it to work. Or is there
something I can purchase that will open this program. Thanks

First let‘s check some things:

Please go to the Apple logo on the upper left of the screen, go to About This Mac (DO NOT Select More Info), and tell me the System Version, the Processor and the Memory, it is all right there.

Then go to Macintosh HD, then go to Applications folder inside that is another folder called Utilities inside that is an application called Disk Utility. Double click on that and when it opens you will see your hard drive (usually Macintosh HD) on the left. Highlight your hard drive and click on Verify Disk on the right. If that is OK click on Repair Permissions. If Verify Disk is not OK try to Repair.

Can you send me the ebook you are trying to open?
