Can you fill in some detail?
What model LinkSys router and the version it is? (it will be something like (WRG54gsv2, example), it will on a small sticker somewhere on the router.
What version of Mac OS X do you have?

Most often, unless the power surge burnt it up, it all should have returned to normal after the power came back.
Are the lights on the router lit?

yes, the network name that I had assigned it suddenly disappeared from the Airport list.....
