Hi, have you tried resetting PRAM or booting into Safe Mode?
I held down the command and "s" key and got a full screen of stuff
By stuff I mean code. .
okay good -- there should have been a prompt for you to type stuff in...can you confirm this?
okay good, now type in 'fsck -fy' (without the quotes) then press enter/return. Note the <space> in between fsck and -fy
Let me know how that goes -- that should start the disk repair process
Checking root file, etc.
yes, it might take a while
Says: File System was modified.
Says HD Okay
okay, try to reboot. see if it boots
How should I exit?
then hit enter
I just typed exit. I worked and I am rebooting.
Looks like I am back in business! Thanks.
good deal, glad I could help
