my iphone is frozen. Tried to turn it off and its stuck on

Resolved Question:

my iphone is frozen. Tried to turn it off and it's stuck on the screen which has the red arrow at the top and the "cancel" bar at the bottom and my touch doesn't affect anything!

It was working fine, then during a text a few min. ago, it froze. Just received a call and couldn't answer it because it wasn't detecting my touch.

Hold the home button (round, center, bottom of phone) and the sleep/wake button (rectangular, top-right corner) simultaneously -- hold them until you see a white apple logo on the screen, then release
