when I try to open my iphoto on my brand new mac pro, I get

when I try to open my iphoto on my brand new mac pro,
I get a 'You can't open the application iPhoto because it may be damaged or incomplete.
the Genius bar in Short Hills NJ transferred all my info from my 3 yr old mac Book, but this is the only difficulty I've had

AShtik, I assume they were forwarded over from my three year old Mac Book to my 3-day old
new Mac Pro when the genuis bar did the job for me.

You can try to rebuild your iPhoto Library.

Rebuild iPhoto Library

  1. Hold down the Command and Option keys on the keyboard.
  2. Open iPhoto.
  3. Keep the keys held down until you are prompted to rebuild the library.
  4. A dialog will appear with rebuild options. Select the options you want to use.
  5. Click Rebuild to begin the rebuild process. This may take a few minutes to complete.graphic
