That did not solve the problem. The mail program is trying to send the message using the new server, but the icon is still spinning. Could this be a virus?

Not virus, Did you recently send any Mails with big attachments ?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
no,but we tried one with several paragraphs of text last night. It went nowhere.

server port 110
Expert:  Ashik replied 6 years ago.
Okay..Change the Outoging Server back to smtp.mail.wideopenwest.com

Then change the Outgoing Server port to 25, if that didn't worked then change to 465. If that didn't worked, then change to 587

Also, turn of SSL.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
I have tried all 3 different ports (SSL was off), but the "sent" icon is still spinning
Expert:  Ashik replied 6 years ago.
Are you sure your email is not blocked (flagged) by your provider ?
