-Could you explain your situation a little more?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
I was trying to upgrade my osx to snow leopard and I must have trashed my driver in the process. Now I have an error message on the start up page that reads "panic(cpu 0): unable to find driver for this platform: "powerbook 6.5".
Expert:  Kyle Brockman replied 6 years ago.
What kind of mac is it? MacBook? PowerBook?

Ok. So you snow leopard can't run on this computer. Snow leopard needs an intel proc. With that said most likely you will need to restore back to how the computer was before or to leopard.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
trying to restore, with my osx disk, won't read even that. cannot get past the error page
Expert:  Kyle Brockman replied 6 years ago.
Ok. What you will want to do is put your first restore disc in. Then power the machine off and power it back on while holding the option key down. Keep holding it till you get a menu the. Select the cd and click the forward arrow. The. Follow the on screen instructions.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
tried that, as soon as I clicked the forward arrow, the error message came back
Expert:  Kyle Brockman replied 6 years ago.
Ok at this point is sounds like there is something wrong with your computer. Mostly the system board.
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
so, how do i fix that?
Expert:  Kyle Brockman replied 6 years ago.
Well you can try and find a new system board on eBay or something. You can take it to and apple store and see how much they would changer to fix it. Or look at getting a new machine.
