I DONT HAVE FOUR DIGIT COMBINATION NUMBERS ON "ENTER CODE" SCREEN WITH A SPINNING COMBINATION LOCK

Ok, I just need some more information, There is no need to yell. To fix this you will need to restore the ipod from the computer you sync it with.

i dont know the combination to the ipod. im stuck on the enter code screen

Is itunes stopping you from restoring it because of the passcode?

No. when i cut ipod on it asks to enter code that i dont have. i never had it. brought ipod from friend years ago an it worked fine. one day i cut it on it asked to enter code. it does nothing else but stay on that srceen waitng for a four digit number. i need to reset it i believe. its not registered or anything in my name. its a random ipod i payed a friend for that i dont have a code for

In iTunes click restore. This will get the iPod back to the factory default and remove the passcode.
