I can't say this is working, as I see no log on link in the upper right

Nope.

Okay - in the menu at the top, click Help, then About iTunes. Which iTunes version number are you using?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.

When I push the iTunes icon on the iphone screen I get an ATT screen with a Q search box.

When I click Safari, Apple\ itunes, I get dandy information on opening my own accounting business.

Expert:  Kevin N replied 6 years ago.

Okay - on your Mac - have you already installed iTunes?

How did you go about purchasing the apps for your phone - was it on the phone itself?

Customer: replied 6 years ago.

iTunes is on phone

Expert:  Kevin N replied 6 years ago.

Great - have you installed iTunes on your Mac?

Customer: replied 6 years ago.

No, do I need to do that first?

Expert:  Kevin N replied 6 years ago.

It shouldn't be necessary - it makes it easy to reset the password, but it doesn't have to be done.

Use this link to reset your password:

https://iforgot.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/DSiForgot.woa/wa

Once the password XXXXX XXXXX you should be able to enter it into your iPhone and download/sync your apps.

Any luck this way?

Expert:  Kevin N replied 6 years ago.

I would give the email authentication just a bit of time...this is the only way to reset it and it could be delayed from Apple.

If you install iTunes on your Mac, are you able to log into the iTunes store with your new password?
