How do I reset my password? Because i cannot install new applications (like pages) without it and I have completely forgotten it.

Do you have the Mac OS X installation discs ?

Yes i do,
You can reset the the administrator password XXXXX the Mac OS X installation disks

  • Insert the Mac OS X installation disc 1 to your Mac.
  • Turn off your Mac.
  • Turn it back on and immediately hold down the C key on your Keyboard.
  • Keep the held down until it boots into the disc.
  • This should boot your Mac directly into Mac OS X installation screen
  • Choose your Language and click Next button.
  • Choose Reset Password from the Utilities menu
  • Select your Mac OS X hard disk volume.Select the user name of your original account that you want to change/reset password.
  • Enter a new password XXXXX Click Save.
  • Restart your Mac

Okay, I did everything to a T .. until it said "choose RESET PASSWORD XXXXX the UTILITIES Menu ..
That did not come up

Are you asking for the disk 1.0 because thats the one i put it :/
