Resolved Question:

While at home, I suddenly lost my signal strength even though the next door neighbor gave me the password XXXXX his wireless account. I cannot see signal strength that was always there before from multiple users and multiple accounts.

Hello!

Occasionally routers reset themselves or need to be reset and this can mean a sudden drop of wireless signal, although usually it pops right back up in a minute or two. If this is a long term issue, you should check if they have changed routers, changed router names, or perhaps made the router hidden so that you need to manually access it.
