Since I updated to Safari 5; it will not load any website even Apple's.

Opera & Firefox work fine!

I'm running 10.5.8 on a Mac destop G5.

Have you tried resetting safari?

How do you reset Safari?

Open safari, click on safari in the file menu, then click reset safari. Then the window will come up asking to remove items. uncheck anything you would like to keep, such as saved passwords and top sites layout.

I've reset safari and it still has same result!

Deleting the following file in your home directory, Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist

I tried deleting Safari.plist and still had same problem.!

Then came in a Cosmopod update warning. I used firefox to download the update
dmg file.

I installed Cosmopod 4.5.1 update and tried Safari again and THIS TIME IT LOADED WEBSITES OK!!

I guess we all need to consider Safari plug-ins as well!! I should of un-installed Cosmopod first.

When Safari 5 came out; it broke Cosmopod; this update fixes this problem.

I don't know how to handle this issue now? I fixed it myself; except for idea of deleting Safari.plist was only thing I had not tried but did not work.

I had accepted answer by mistake the first time; then replied again.
