Formatted an external hard drive and cloned my Power PC Mac

This answer was rated:

Formatted an external hard drive and cloned my Power PC Mac G4 OS X v10.4 to it.

Cloning application states "The target volume will not boot this computer because Power PC Macintoshes cannot boot from USB devices."

What now?
This doesn't mean you can't pull the files off the device. It just means you can't run the OS off that drive. You can clone it back if you needed to boot up tiger again.

Okay that's great!
What do I do next to prepare for installing Leopard?
Don't I need to get rid of everything Tiger?
What else?

You can upgrade from tiger to leopard. Just put in the install disk and follow the on screen instructions.
