Hello Pastorcito,

Please try pluggint the drives to your Mac using a USB cable.

Then you should see a new icon on your desktop.

If that does not work, please give me the exact model number of your both drives.

My LaCie has only firewire connection. Seagate unit has both USB & Firewire

Hi.

Plug in the Lacie drive to your Mac.

Please download and install these files for the LaCie 500 Gb

Lacie Update Tool:
http://www.lacie.com/download/drivers/LaCieUpdateTool_2.0.1.dmg

Lacie 1-Click Backup Software for Mac:
http://www.lacie.com/download/drivers/LaCie_1-Click_Mac_1.2.1.dmg


Restart the Mac and try using the LaCie hardrive.
