I think you didn't answered my question...You said that you're trying to install Windows XP on your mac. How ? Using BootCamp ?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
yes using boot camp
Expert:  Ashik replied 7 years ago.
  1. Turn off your Mac
  2. Turn it on and immediately hold down the Option after the chime sound.
  3. Keep it held down until the Startup Manager screen appears
  4. The Startup Manager will appear on the screen, select a Mac OS X (Macintosh HD) volume.
This will boot your Mac into Snow Leopard...i hope. If it boots into Snow Leopard without any problems, follow the steps below
  1. Open Boot Camp Assistant and select Create or Remove a Windows Partition and click Restore. This should restore the partition. Close Boot Camp Assistant.
  2. Open Boot Camp Assistant and create a Windows partition.
  3. Then insert the Windows XP installation disks and start installation.
  4. Install Windows and see if it still giving you problems..
  5. Clicking Restore will erase all your files which is used in Windows XP.

(Note : Format the disk partition using Windows Installer, Windows will give you options to format the partition like "Format the disk as FAT32 Quick" or "Format the disk as NTFS Quick" or -----. If so choose any FAT32 Quick or NTFS Quick and continue)

Ashik
