I have just bought a Mac OS X v 10.6.1 Snow Leopard and connected it up to my MP600 Printer/Scanner. The printer works fine but it won't scan. I've tried downloading a Canon Printer Driver for Mac OS X v 10.6, but it still won't scan. Is there any other download that will fix my problem? Cheers.
HelloCustomerand thanks for using justanswer.com

Click on the face icon at the bottom left of your dock and then click on Go at the very top and choose Applications

Open either Image Capture or Preview. Either app should be able to scan with your scanner.

Hi Tom, Thanks for suggestion. I had already tried opening with Image Capture, but gave it another go. No go I'm afraid! Query download required to marry the two. I see from Forums that this is an issue with Snow Leopard.
There is actually a separate driver installation for your scanner

Download it here

Choose Mac OS and the first link is the software for the scanner
