Customer Question

I'm working on an I Mac G5 OS 10.4.11,
Lately everything is taking forever to either download or open.
I have Verizon's DSL and it was OK until this week.
Can you help?

I would unplug the power cord to the Verizon DSL device for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Give it about 2 minutes to reset itself and see if things speed up for you. If things are still slow you could create a new user account in System Preferences/Accounts, log out of your current account, log in to the newly created account and see if the internet is slow. If it is, there may be a problem with Verizon or their DSL box. You can call them and ask them to run a throughput test to see if you are getting the speed that you are paying for.
