Hello Larry and thanks for using justanswer.com

MacLinkPlus will open Claris Works files. It is available here

http://www.dataviz.com/products/maclinkplus/index.html

If your Mac Powerbook 165 still has Claris Works installed you can choose File Save As Word document or rtf

If you can find a copy of Appleworks that also should be able to open the Claris documents
