my mail program will not send mail

First make sure you have all the Apple Updates found under the Apple Menu.

Next check the Outgoing Server section. If you have an invalid setting there the button would be grayed out with no place to send mail.

WHERE IS THE OUTGOING SERVER? I M SURE THAT'S THE PROBLEM AS THE SEND ARROW IS GRAY
In Mail click on the menu MAIL then PREFERENCES then ACCOUNTS.

If you have OS version 10.5 then the Outgoing server is the last item with a drop down box. The last item on the drop down is EDIT SERVER LIST. That is where you put in your settings.
