What's up with my Quadpro? It is automatically going to sleep on start-up and monitor is d-e-a-d. Need to do lotsa work today. Thanks!

Try resetting the PRAM.

Reboot your computer and immediately press and hold these four keys -> OPTION APPLE P R
Keep those keys down until you hear the Mac chime at least 3 times then let go of the keys.

As soon a the computer is usable check to make sure you have all the Apple Updates.

Open Disk Utilities in your Utilities Folder and run repair files permissions and check your hard drive.

thanks for the help, the hard drive seems to be responding to the reboot, but the monitor is still dead.
