my mac colours have gone very vivid & harsh & it effects all photos & desk top etc. Anyone know why, I havnt altered anything!

I think its with the system preferences. Lets change the color back.

Press Command(Apple) + Option + Control + 8 (Press again to change it back) or Goto System Preferences, Universal Access and under Display click on the radio button "White on Black" and close the windows

Hmm...Sounds like its not a preference settings problem (may be a hardware problem)

Could you please goto System Preferences, Universal Access and under Display click on the radio button "White on Black" or "Black on White", or make changes in there...
