I HAVE A MAC AND I JUST GOT A X5070 LEXMARK ALL IN ONE PRINTER BUT I CANT PRINT OR SCAN WITHOUT IT QUITTIG WHAT DO I DO

Hi,

Please refrain from typing in all caps... in Internet speak, it is considered shouting.

Ok, what Mac specifically do you have? Go to your Apple Menu and choose About this Mac...
Then click on More Info button and select all the text in the right side and then copy and paste it to a reply to me.

Also, did you install the software from the included disc that came with the printer?

mac os x version 10.5.6 and yes i did download the cd

Ok,

Lexmark has an updated driver for that printer that runs on Mac OS X 10.5.x.

When you go to this page, search for your printer in the Search box on the left side and then follow the prompts to download.

The driver on the disk is for 10.4 and older.

Follow the link and download the new driver and install it. Then, go to your System Preferences and click on Print & Fax.

Remove the current printer installed and then make sure your printer is turned on.
Click the + sign and add the printer again.

It should now work as expected.

it looks like the same download as the one i already downloaded

Hi,
Sorry, I thought you said you installed from the CD.

I was under the impression that the CD was an older version. If it is the same one then removing and adding the printer is the only steps I have for you.

What I found was the installer on the CD does not properly setup the Printer and that is why you remove and add it again.

But if that did not work, maybe a reset of the Printing System is in order.
