I'm assuming that you sync your iPhone to your HP laptop. Your best bet is to copy the library from the iMac and put them onto the HP laptop. You'll need an external hard drive of some sort (or a flash drive) to do this most easily (if you don't have one, let me know and there's another more complicated way we can do this using your iPhone to transfer the files).

1) In the Finder, choose Go menu > Home and double-click on the Music folder
2) Double-click on the iTunes folder
3) Copy the iTunes Music folder to an external hard drive
4) Unmount the hard drive and connect it to your HP
5) Drag the iTunes Music folder from the external hard drive into iTunes on your PC

I'm assuming you already have iTunes set to sync music to your iPhone, so you should be all set then.

There are a couple of places in here where things may not work, so let me know if and where you get stuck. Kind regards,

all i have is my aunts imac and my hp. thanks again. you said i can use my iphone??

Expert:  Shawn replied 7 years ago.
Okay. Here's how to do it:

1) Plug your iPhone into your Aunt's iMac and sync it. Change the settings if necessary so that the music library is downloaded to the iPhone. If your library is big, this will take awhile.

2) Disconnect your iPhone and connect it to your HP laptop.

3) Download and install Ephpod from

4) Use Ephpod to copy the songs from your iPod to your HP hard drive

5) Drag the songs into iTunes to add them to the library

Let me know how that works for you! Kind regards,
