What book?

Forgive me but I am not sure what you mean.

Customer: replied 8 years ago.
Microsoft Excel and Word. I need title and publisher.
Expert:  Mike replied 8 years ago.
Are these books? Otherwise they are Microsoft products.
Sorry to be a little dense here, but I do not understand the question.

What books? Are these training books? Do you have any other information so I can figure out what it is you are looking for?

Customer: replied 8 years ago.
I already purchased "Microsoft Office 2008" by Steve Schwartz, but it has ABSOLUTE no information what I need. What I have in mind, is a book where symbols are explained and step by step directions are spelled out. I am sure, there must be a book, for "computer illiterate", what in this case I am. Since I was working with Excel and Word up to Operating System 9, I am very much disappointed that your Apple Store is selling this disk, but not teaching how to use it. Do not give up, because you are my last hope. Thanks for your help.

No, I won't give up. I just did not get what you were after.

Don't blame Apple for not training on a Microsoft or any other app except their own, it takes a lot of resources to provide training and they have their hands full with all the software of their own.

So, have you looked at any of the Dummies Books?

Also, Peachpit press has a book on Office stuff as well.

And, O'Reilly Books has the Missing Manual, my favorite book for usage.

Hope these are what you are looking for.

And, you can check your local State or County/community college for classes. I even found some at local technical Adult Training schools.

Good Luck,
