PowerBook G4, Turns on, With no chime or screen

Resolved Question:

My powerbook G4 1.33GHZ 15" is down and out.

I let the battery drain die one day (original battery) and i believe it is toast, i have a working AC adapter. Ive tryed reseting various thing from power manager yadedyada. When i press the power button the screen flashs the logic board makes a beeb and i just hear fans spinning. Its running the latest OS apple offers.

Ive got a firewire cable and an IMAC is this can help me out, THANKS!

Do you have an external monitor that you could plug into the powerbook?

I have a Video Cable But it requires some fiddiling to get done and if i remeber correctly would only work on a restart of the computer, its just a crappy EBAY cable that requires me to press the double window button on the top of the keyboard

It would let us see if it is just the screen or if it is the logic board. If the video works, then it's just the screen.

It sounds like a hardware issue, and we do not do hardware repair here.

One thing I would try is insert your OS X disc into the computer and hold down the "C" key when you turn on the computer. This should start the OS X installer, if the computer is not dead.
