Is the LaCie 2-port eSATA PCI CARD (item #710372) compatible

This answer was rated:

Is the LaCie 2-port eSATA PCI CARD (item #710372) compatible with my MacPRO: Dual-Core Intel Xeon, 3 GHz, 4 cores, L2Cache 4mb?
Here is the Datasheet for the card.

Available PCI slot (32bits 66Mhz; PCI 2.3 compliant interface)
Mac: Mac OS 10 or higher

The Mac Pro has:

Three open full-length PCI Express expansion slots
One PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot
Two PCI Express x4 slots

PCI Express slots are not compatible with PCI or PCI-X expansion cards.

So therefore the LaCie 2-port eSATA Card is not compatible.

You will need a card like this one:

Hope this helps.
