how do I fix my bricked i touch when it wont go into restore or recovery mode?

HI,

When you say Bricked do you mean totally dead or do you have any icons on the display such as the apple or a broken looking screen?

Let us know

Thanks

when i say bricked I mean it scrolls through some text ,then ends repeating bsd root major2, minor zero.
I can get the screen to go black and the apple to come up but then this process begins again, I can not get into recovery ot restore...

Ok,

Try this, Plug your ipod into your machine then hold down the home and power buttons until the ipod powers off then let go of the power button but keep holding the home button.

Unplug your ipod from your pc and plug it back in with the home button still held, You should see a connect to itunes sign on your ipod so open and connect to itunes and you should be able to restore it.

Let us know if you have any problems.

Thanks
