Is there a version of Avid iNews for Mac

This answer was rated:

Hi! I was wondering if there is a version of Avid iNews available for Mac? If so, is there a website with the system requirements out there?
No, Avid has recently been going away from Apple products which I find to be very disappointing.

The current version of Avid iNews is 2.6.

The Server requirements are:
1.6 GHz, 1GB ram, 20 GB HD, COM port, 2 network cards,XXXXXXXXXX and Red Hat Linux ES v.5.0

Web client server requirements are:
2.8 GHz, 1GB ram, Windows 2003 Server or Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 3.0.

The Client workstation requirements are:
700 MHz, 256 MB ram, 10GB HD, 1024x768 SVGA card w/8MB DRAM.

If this fixes your problem, please kindly select * ACCEPT * so I can be rewarded for my efforts.

Thanks for your help!
That's what I suspected. I'm a big Mac girl, so it's a bit disappointing. So unfortunately, it looks like I'll have to go out and get a PC laptop, as I'll need to utilize iNews remotely for my new job. C'est la vie!

For me, it is hard to believe people prefer PCs over macs, I would never go back. Good luck with your new job!
