I have lost my imovies- the icon is still there but it will not open and is gone from my applications list. How do i get it back?

i don't think i have an ilife disk. I bought my macbook 2 months ago it is brand new and came with imovies on it. It didn't come with any disks. Where do i find what OS version it is...i am technophobe

Ok,

If you click th eapple logo and click about this mac it will tell you what OS version you are using, However i fit is that new you will have Leopard.

If you download Pacifist from here http://www.charlessoft.com/ it will alow you to easily restore your iMovie from the 2nd restore disk using the instructions from here http://www.charlessoft.com/Pacifist_Documentation/English/index.html
