Have you lost me again I still need help with my Mac desktop on

Mac O s 10.3.9 It will not accept downloads from anywhere--net or stuff I do. Can you help fix?

I still can't download anything from anywhere. You told me I could upgrade to OS 10.4 and I have ordered it but it has not arrived yet. That may help and I will keep you posted.

Are you getting any kind of errors (such as Permission Denied) when trying to create or download files?

     Dan was working with me but you are OK. I wrote Dan in the first
place because I had some locked folders that I could not unlock and
trash. He got me to go to my "root" file, which I did and the folders
disappeared but then I could not download anything from anywhere. I get
no errors just "cannot download, try a different browser". He said to
upgrade my 10.3.9 to `10.4.0 and get the free download for 10. 4.1. I
have ordered the upgrade and it should be here in a day or so. I have
AOL, Safari, and Firefox. All give me the same message. I will keep
you posted.

      We seem to have lost each other again. With all of the upgrading
my computer is respondng OK, except that I still get the "Try another
browser" message still appears when I try to download something from
the net. Can you still help?

I accept your response if it solves the probles of not being abke to
download anything from the net. I thought I covered all of Dan's
questions. Tell me exactly what you need to know and i will try to give
you an intellegent answer
Can you please tell me what program you are in when you receive the "Try Another Browser" message? Can you take a screenshot for me so that I can see the actual error? You can take a screenshot of a window by using Command-Shift-4 then space then clicking the window you wish to take a picture of. This will produce a picture file on your desktop. Please upload that picture to here so that I can view it.

    I got three screen shots on my desktop--They won't move into the
reply spot. Do I need to send them in an email attachment?    Allen
In the reply box, there is a button to attach an image (looks like a tree). If you don't see the toolbar, click Show Toolbar. You can upload the images through the popup that appears.

Please make sure that you are using Firefox to see the toolbar. If you still don't see it, go to your Control Panel (might be labeled Tools or User CP) and turn the toolbar on and return to this question.
