Resolved Question:

i have just purchased CS3 photoshop - When attempting to install i get a system check prompting me with the following: "Adobe Photoshop CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with:Adobe Photoshop CS3"

My system: mac power book 17"

History: I previously had installed a trial version of cs3 and since have deleted (unfortunately by drop and drag files into trash)

I have tried searching for all related files and can assure you there is not a cs3 file in sight.

Question: will a hard reboot f the OS fix this? or can i reinstall the trial cs3 disk and un install it the correct way?

Hi,

Could you open your Mac hard drive and go to Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers.

Let me know if you can find the add or remove photoshop application.

If not could you go to http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs3clean.html then download and runt he CS3 cleaner script.

After you have uninstalled could ou reboot then try to install again.

Let us know what happens.

Thanks
