Kathy, I need you help with another question. Part 1 and 2

Customer Question

Kathy, I need you help with another question. Part 1 and 2 due Thurs, July 2 afternoon and part 3 due saturday, July 4.

1. Choose one of the Titles originated by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act to eliminate the inequities of poverty. Summarize the purpose of the Title, elaborate on the most important objective of this Title, and determine if this contribution is still making an impact today. Offer a recommendation to improve the impact of this Title.
You must conduct research to determine if this title is currently effective, and present your findings in your discussion post. You must reference at least one scholarly source. Your citations should be in APA format.

2. Technology has become a major component in American classrooms and has the capacity to change the way teachers teach and the way students learn. Technology has allowed our world to become increasingly smaller. Will technology continue to be a factor in driving educational change? Analyze how technology could encourage globalization in U.S. education. Also provide your personal insight on todays technology in education.

3. History of American Education Timeline (Part Two of Two – Timeline)

For your Final Project, you will present a timeline in two formats: (1) a Word document and (2) an interactive, web-based timeline. The Word document portion of your Final Project was completed last week. This week, revise your written portion to incorporate the feedback you received from your instructor. Thus, the written portion should be nearly complete. The bulk of the Final Project is the interactive, web-based timeline you will create using TimeGlider (http://timeglider.com). You will submit the revised written portion in the online course and include a link to your timeline in the paper. Complete instructions for the Final Project follow:

Focus of the Final Project

For the Final Project you are required to make a timeline of the events in the history of American education that made a significant impact.

Preparing the Final Project

To create the timeline, choose at least two events for each topic listed below to ensure you address all major elements of the history of American education:

American education and religion
American education and students with special needs (disabled and “gifted”)
American education and funding
American education and minorities (including women/girls)
American education and curriculum
American education and technology
American education and the courts
American education and the world
You must have a minimum of 20 historical events, so feel free to include more events in the area(s) that you feel were most significant. You are encouraged to seek out scholarly sources where appropriate. After selecting the historical events, write a brief summary (50-100 words) for each and select a historical image or video that highlights the event. In addition to the summary of each historical event, you will need to develop an introduction and conclusion for your timeline. The introduction and conclusion are your opportunities to demonstrate your understanding of the significance of these historical events, and how they have shaped today’s American education system.

Please note that the written portion of the Final Project will be submitted to the website Turnitin, so be sure to cite your sources appropriately. Please note that you must also cite the source of each of the selected historical images and/or videos in APA format. Music clips are also welcome if you can legitimately connect the song to the historical event (and properly cite the source).

Guidelines for Written Portion (Word document) of the Final Project

Your written portion of the “History of American Education Timeline” Final Project will be the foundation of the interactive web-based portion. In other words, all text on the interactive timeline must also be present in the written portion (Word document). You will submit a draft of the written portion in Week Four, and must revise the written portion based on your instructor’s feedback before using it in the timeline.

The written portion of the “History of American Education Timeline” Final Project:

Must be at least five double-spaced pages in length, including:
An introduction that is one to two double-spaced pages in length
At least 20 summaries of historical events (one summary for each event of the timeline). Each summary must contain:
Title and dates in bold font.
50 to 100 words per summary
An appropriate image or link to a video or other media which represents the event
APA citations for sources(s) of information cited and for the image/media used
A conclusion
One-half to one double-spaced page in length
Must include a separate title page with the following:
Title of paper
Student’s name
Course name and number
Instructor’s name
Date submitted
Must address the topic with critical thought.
Must document all sources in APA style, as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
Must include a separate reference page, formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.
Guidelines for Interactive Timeline Portion of the Final Project
Completed Week Five

To create an interactive, web-based timeline to present the information contained in the written portion of the Final Project, you will upload your text, event by event, to a timeline you create using the website TimeGlider (http://timeglider.com). Registering to use TimeGlider is free, and it is highly recommended that you sign up as soon as possible and review the TimeGlider application (http://timeglider.com/how_it_works.php) and the various ways you can make your timeline interactive. You can review the TimeGlider: Instructions (http://timeglider.com/instructions/) page for detailed information on using the application.

Once the interactive, web-based timeline is complete, please include a link to the timeline (http://timeglider.com/instructions/?p=publish) in the revised written portion of the Final Project (just before the introduction), and submit the written portion in the online classroom in Week Five.

Please note, you will be graded on the clarity of your narrative and the appropriateness of design (e.g., the quality of the images, and how well the images, videos, and/or media relate a given event).
