Hi, Elaine!
Any special references or textbooks for this? DXJ
no there is not. Attached are two sites that were given me that contain information on the two cases. You are free to use them as well as any other sources.
Hi!
I'm familiar with the cases.
Sorry forgot to attach. Here it is CASES
i am so glad
:-)
I am also glad you are available to help.
Actually, the way these two cases were argued very differently:-)
That is what makes them so different despite shared issues.
Thanks, Elaine, for you kindness.
wow I was not aware of that.
I told you I was familiar:-)
Even a friend of mine, a Law Professor hadn't considered that until I brought it up.
I am sure with the fact that they were argued differently will make for interesting writing.
Well, that is what makes case law interesting, right?
At any rate, I can help.
Thanks so much for your request.
Yes, although I must confess some of it is confusing as well.
Well, when reading cases, I find that reading through the case once helps. The second time I look at it, I look for the points, the specifics.
Then I consider the year, the societal, economic, political factors, etc.
It is all interrelated!
It is always helpful to remember, too, that the law is always behind the times.
It is reactionary in nature and constantly changing.
Does that help?
Yes I will keep it all in mind when reading thru the rest of the cases. Thankfully I only have this one law class
It is the wording in the constitution that makes some things unclear. The cases themselves are very interesting.
Well then, try considering the cases as a way of interacting with the Constitution.
The words seem "fixed," but the meaning and interpretations are not:-)
Are they?
Each case draws those points into question and asks how they apply.
no it is all in how a person interprets what they read as I was once told.
Just consider the idea of "equal protection under the law."
There are many points each case could argue, but each one seeks the answer to specific questions.
It is in interpetation that law is used in defending and prosecuting a case.
Yes, but it is also the interpretation of the law and points by the jury.
Perception:-)
It is really about so much more than the mere events or circumstances..............
wow
Does that make it more interesting for you?
yes it does
Maybe it will help you reason through it better.
When you remember that each role in the courtroom is performed by "persons" it looks different.
However, it is more realistic that way.
Anyway, maybe it will make it easier for you to get through with some of these thoughts in mind.
However, i will revisit these cases.
I will definitly keep all of it in mind
Great!
I look forward to your writing and now I am off to bed.
OK, Elaine! Good night!
Sorry I took my pain meds so I am droggy. So just so I am clear, even though you have given me tips, you are still available to help me with this project. Is that correct.

I am trying to accept your answer but for some reason it is not going thru. I have tried twice now to accept it. I know all I have to do is click on the face but there is no submit button once I do that. I want to make sure you are paid. Also this question is showing as closed. Would that make a difference? Any suggestions.
Hi, Elaine!Sorry you're having technical difficulty. You might have to re-open the question. I am not sure. Try it again first. If it still doesn't work, you could try reopening it and see if that works. If we have to, I'll resend you the link. OK? DXJDXJWriter41089.8549379977
