My cruse control doesn't not come on. No light no nothing. I'm not even sure if there is any power going to the accurator
JA: Have you checked the fuse? What size is your engine?
Customer: Yes it's supposed to part of the heater fuse 15 amp. It's a 3.0
JA: What is the model of your '15 Lexus?
Customer: 99 lexus 300rx all wheel drive
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes I'm working on it myself. I've replaced the actuator

We need to do all the primary checks first using this diagram.

  • cruise ECU pin 3 power in park and neutral
  • cruise ECU pin 9 power with the key on
  • cruise ECU pin 16 ground
  • cruise actuator pin 4 ground
  • cruise actuator pin 3 to pin 9 at the cruise ECU. When ohm testing at both of these pressing and releasing the brake pedal should result in open/closed circuit.
  • cruise ECU pin 2 should result in power and no power with the brake pedal applied and released.
  • cruise ECU pin 10 ohm tested to ground. Each cruise button pressed should result in a different reading
