Battery in car went dead. Charged battery, Now get "key not

Customer Question

battery in car went dead. Charged battery, Now get "key not detected" and cant start car
JA: Did you test the battery with a voltmeter? And have you ever changed one before?
Customer: did not test battery. Had tow truck come out. He put jumper cables on. Lights inside card came on. Is there some level of amperage needed, i.e. battery has to be charged more?
JA: What is the model/year of your Lexus?
Customer: 2008 LS 460
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Hope so. Otherwise will have to call Toyota dealer in morning to see what they can do.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: The display says "Key not detected". I have tried the owner's manual suggestion of touching key to ignition button

You know for certain that the battery is fully charged? Have you tried replacing the battery in the remote yet? Do you have any other remotes to try?
