Hello and thank you for your question,

Both of these light come on when the system sees a fault and when this happens the computer will set and store a fault code and or codes. In order to determine what is causing this you are going to need to start first with having the system scanned and the fault code and or codes retrieved. Most Auto Part stores such as Auto Zone will run a code scan for you at no charge. If you can get the scan done and post back with the fault codes I will help you determine the cause.

I might as well just take it to the lexus dealership.

This was a total waste of money

Yea that will work as well but that will also cost you. Its your call. Unfortunately with out know the fault code there is no easy answer. Any money you have placed in your account remains in your account and is still your money unless you rate the service and you can not do that with out answer.
